Doug + Hiedi :: Engagement Shoot Dayboro
Thursday, 03 May 2012 00:49
You know what they say... "do what you love and you'll never have to work a day in your life?" It's completely cheesy, granted, but this really rings true to me - I really do LOVE what I do. I get a massive kick out of meeting couples so head over heels in love and I have to pinch myself for the simple fact that I get to do this on a regular basis. As lame as it sounds, it doesn't feel like work and there is nothing else I would rather be doing. With that said, meet Doug + Hiedi, who I had the pleasure of shooting this past weekend...

Their engagement shoot took place near Dayboro (such a beautiful part of Brisbane!) and man, I gotta tell you, I've been busting to show you these shots. Not only are Doug + Hiedi super amazeballs and so geniune, but they're a whole lot of fun too. True to form, Doug was hamming it up between shots and had us in stitches. All jokes aside, it's clear that while this couple know how to have fun, they have a deep love and respect for one another, the kind that comes from a number of years spent together {and raising their sweet little dude, Jackson}. Good times guys, you look awesome and you both rocked it. I hope you enjoy this set of frames.

On a side note, a very special thanks to Kate of Kate Dawes Flower Design who provided the gorgeous headpiece and flowers. Kate is the bomb-diggity and you really must check out her work.

I recently had the opportunity to second-shoot the wedding of Gareth + Louise alongside my mate, Dave Ferguson of David Ferguson Photography.

A huge thanks to Dave for giving me the opportunity to shoot with you. I hope you enjoy this selection of frames from the day - for the full post, make sure you head over to Dave's blog here.

Shaun + Caitlin
Thursday, 23 February 2012 00:09
Introducing Shaun + Caitlin, a super creative, fun-loving couple that live and breathe all that is West End (a lively, culturally diverse suburb of Brisbane) having lived there for quite some time. Just recently, they became proud owners of their very first abode right in the centre of it all, with the most amazing city views I might add! What better location for their shoot than right in their very own 'backyard'?

Any mention of Shaun and Caitlin's face completely lights up - they are the very best of friends, love to have a laugh (no, really...!) and seriously adore each other. This shoot was a whole lot of fun and a very entertaining way to spend a Sunday afternoon! Thanks guys, it was an absolute joy to shoot you both and capture your mad-'weirdo' love for one another ;)
